With the rates of mental illness rising parents find them selves asking 'How can I help?' Organising one of my talks is a great way to answer this question. Normally held in the evening I take parents through a series of techniques that they can use to help their children cope with the stresses of high school in a amusing and engaging manner.
Young Australians spend a lot of time at school but often the lessons taught at school get lost when they are back in their home environment and mental health is no different. The message that we are trying to get across to students is more potent when it is backed up by parents at home and using me to present too parents is a great way to ensure the lesson continues.
